Happy 2025

Happy New Year!

The first month of the year was almost done yet it felt really like a long month. Gothenburg winter wasn’t really beautiful. This winter wasn’t so snowy or maybe it would be snowier next month…Here I got some snow on my balcony on one stormy day earlier this month and the comparison between day and night in my living room.

I also got some photos from the New Year’s eve fireworks from my apartment. As my apartment was on the hill, this year I tried to watch the fireworks from my building instead of going somewhere else. It wasn’t so bad I would say. I could see a bit from my balcony too. Though the top floor definitely got some view!

The winter holidays were already over but I was not done. I made some sweet stuff during this month. First, it was white chocolate with green tea. I wanted to create marble pattern but I blended the white chocolate and the green tea way too much. The marble was sort of still there but it wasn’t so clear. The green tea flavour was quite subtle as well. It was my first time making these. There was still room to improve.

Next, it was the burnt Basque cheesecake. Again, it was my first time baking it. I took it out of the oven way too early so it wasn’t burnt enough. It could have developed more colour though the taste was already there. I got to share it with several people and it wasn’t disappointing at all :D

January wasn’t so depressing after the big time and big spend in December. I would finish this blog with a calm afternoon with pink sky, the moon, and my new Lego sets.

See you later,
Best
